- Is AbateDesk asbestos removal software or project management software?
- It sits in the asbestos management software family, but narrower: it holds the paperwork around each abatement job (waste shipment records, crew accreditations, and the notices and permits you filed). Bids, crew schedules and payroll stay in whatever you use now.
- Does it file my NESHAP notification?
- No. You keep filing in your state portal, which holds the official record. AbateDesk records what you filed, links to it, and flags any project whose planned start is now earlier than the filing date plus your agency's lead time, so you know when a revised notice is due.
- What are the NESHAP asbestos notification requirements it checks?
- The federal rule is written notice at least 10 working days before most regulated demolitions and renovations. Many states set their own lead times, so each company keeps its own rules by state and work type. Working days skip Saturdays and Sundays but not public holidays; always confirm lead times with your agency.
- How does the asbestos waste shipment record tracking work?
- Each load gets a record when it ships. At 35 days without a signed copy it is flagged to chase the disposal site, and at 45 days to file the exception report. Mark the copy returned in one tap, attach a scan, and the record closes.
- Do you store photos of license cards?
- Only if you choose to attach one. Card photos can show a face or date of birth, so only the owner, office admins and the worker's job supervisor can open them. They never appear on share links, printed site files or consultant views, and the old photo is deleted when a refresher replaces the license.
- Can our environmental consultant use it?
- Yes, on the Contractor plan. Invite the consultant to the projects they monitor; they can record notices and permits and mark WSRs returned on those jobs, without seeing the rest of your company or any card photos.
- Is there a free plan?
- Yes. Free covers one login, 3 active projects, 5 waste shipments a month and 5 workers, with no card needed. Closed projects don't count toward the limit.
